His wholesome character and genuine kindness contribute an extra layer of warmth to our celebration. Beyond his role as a brother, Saleh, alongside his partner April, serves as a constant source of inspiration for Layla and Will. Their journey has been a reminder to find joy in life and embrace the strength of partnership. In 2021, Saleh and April welcomed their daughter Ava, making Layla an aunt. Witnessing Saleh and April navigate the complexities of life and parenthood serves as a daily inspiration for Layla to strive to be a better partner.

Lucy Gilster

Sister of the Groom

Lucy is Will's sister and an all around badass. Will can always count on Lucy to bring him back to earth when he is gets too weird and bring him back to weird when he is too terrestrial. She is a small business owner, dog lover, and one of the straightest talkers anyone could ever hope to meet. Her and Jeremy (who is also graciously present as our Polaroid master) exemplify how two brilliant and funky people should love and support one another. We are thrilled to have her with us at our wedding!

Andy Claiborne

Best Man

What can be said about the legend that is Andy Claiborne that hasn't already been etched into the archives of history? Andy is Will's older brother and source of constant support and guidance. They got into goofy stuff together as kids and still try to knock out the occasional goofy venture together as adults. Andy is six feet stacked solid of good taste, moral fiber, authenticity, and humor. Andy and his wife Liza have been together for over 23 years; their strong union has been an inspiration to Will and serves as a shining example of how healthy couples function.

Ava Dehaiman

Flower Girl

Ava who is Layla's niece was the first baby to be born into the family since Layla was born. The two bond over arts and crafts, Montessori toys, and making homemade tortillas which Ava calls tias not to be confused with Tia Layla. Ava tortures Layla with reruns of Peppa Pig but has slowly started to open up to the idea of watching Aladdin on repeat.

Sarah Coffey

Best Woman

Sarah and Layla met right after high school graduation. Sarah has been a constant in Layla's life through college, graduate school, and beyond. Sarah has seen Layla through many ups and downs and always remains a secure relationship. They always bond over cheesy tv shows such as Gilmore Girls and sweets!

Walker Williamson

Few people are actually larger than life, but Walker is one of them. A brilliant guitarist, caring friend, and top-notch human overall, Walker always is always ready with an open ear and thoughtful input on any topic.

Cora Mihalyi

Cora and Layla met at Syracuse University over vegan milkshakes and a shared passion to support students within city schools. Cora continues to be a sounding board for all things education in Layla's life. Although 2,000 miles separates them they stay in touch over FaceTime, text, and yearly girls trips to the mountains.

Miguel Barrera

Miguel is one of Will's closest friends, who he met through guitar class at UNM. Miguel is known for his quick wit, surplus of music skills, and dapper attire.

Twila Sharma

Bridesmaid

Twila and Layla met when they both worked as receptionists at an office building back in 2005. They have a shared love for cooking great food and Disney movies. Twila's two daughters have been advocates for Layla and Will's love and remind them to stay in touch with their child selves and remember to have fun.

Gabe Fosse

Groomsman

Will and Gabe met in their early teens and shenanigans have ensued since then. Highlights include a fateful trip to the deep south with too much time in jail and hospitals, hitting Carnival in Cadiz in 2005, and too many late night conversations to summarize with any sufficient detail. Gabe is a successful programmer, a brilliant guitarist, and all around swell human being.

Erin Chávez

Erin and Layla met at a middle school they both worked at in 2017 and quickly found they have a shared love for social justice and restorative practices in schools. Erin and Layla have advocated for change in schools and opened a consulting business together where they work to train teachers and educators in the use of restorative practices.

Savannah Hoover

Savannah and Will met in law school and become quickly bonded through a travel abroad to Spain and shared interests. Savannah has been a constant in Layla and Will's journey. Although it was sure to happen regardless, the couple's engagement was hastened by Savannah's encouragement and support.

Avani and Priya Sharma

Layla has watched Avani and Priya grow up to be bright beautiful young girls. Avani was one of the first babies that Layla ever held and they have had a close bond ever since. Priya's energetic nature and love for animals has been a constant reminder to Layla to find joy in small things. The two have been excited to be involved in all aspects of the wedding!

Jeremy Campos

Jeremy (a.k.a. Dr. Jermz) is, among other things, a gifted multi-musician, master camera technician, and loving partner to Will's sister Lucy. We are thrilled to have Jeremy at our wedding to lend his support of the couple, as well as his technical support with the Polaroids. Real talk, the dude is also funny as hell.
