Join us Friday evening at the Chicago Yacht Club – Monroe Street Station – for drinks, dessert, and speechifying celebrating Lauren and Will. All are welcome! What are the Wedding Ceremony details?

Answer

The ceremony is at St. Michael Catholic Church in Old Town – which happens to be the church where Will’s parents got married! Please plan to arrive at least 15 minutes before our 3:00 pm start time. Is there time between the Wedding Ceremony & Wedding Reception?

Answer

Yes! The reception begins at 5:30 pm so there will be some time to kill between events. Below are suggestions for bar options close to the church (there is not much near the reception venue) – some of which are pretty iconic if you are a longtime Chicagoan. - Twin Anchors: 2 blocks east of the Church – 1655 N. Sedgwick St. – a Frank Sinatra favorite - Marge’s: 2 blocks east and 1 long block north of the Church - 1758 N. Sedgwick St. – oldest pub in Chicago since 1885 - The Sedgwick Stop: 2 blocks east and 1.5 blocks south of the Church - 1612 N. Sedgwick St. - Black Barrel Lounge: 1 block south of the Church – 455 W. North Ave. - Hotel Lincoln’s Americus Restaurant & Bar: .6 miles east of the Church at the corner of Lincoln and Clark Sts. –1816 N. Clark St.

What are the Wedding Reception details?

Answer

The reception is at The Saddle and Cycle Club – 900 West Foster Ave, Chicago, IL 60640. Valet parking will be provided.

Will there be an After Party?

Answer

Definitely! After the reception, we will be shifting to The Library Bar at The Saddle and Cycle Club to continue the party! Note: A shuttle bus between the Club and North Michigan Avenue will begin running at 10:00 pm until approximately 1:30 am.

I am traveling in to Chicago. Where should I stay?

Answer

We have obtained a limited number of preferred rate rooms at two hotels, The Knickerbocker and Sofitel, both located at the north end of Michigan Avenue. There are many hotel options in that area as well. The shuttle bus will be circulating between The Saddle and Cycle Club and the hotels beginning at 9:30 pm until approximately 1:00 am. How should I plan to get to the Ceremony and Reception?

Answer

Guests are responsible for their own transportation to the ceremony at St. Michael Catholic Church in Old Town and to the reception at The Saddle and Cycle Club. There is ample parking at the Church and valet parking will be available at The Saddle and Cycle Club. In addition, Taxis, Uber and Lyft are readily available from all venues. A shuttle bus will be available from The Saddle and Cycle Club to the two preferred hotels, the Millennium Knickerbocker and the Sofitel Chicago, at the end of the evening beginning at 9:30 pm and continuing until approximately 1:00 am.
