We're Getting Married!

The first time I saw Zak was when he was subbing for a teammate of mine at McIntire Elementary. We saw each other a few times that day, but I was very busy as both of my teammates were gone. Little did I know, he would be back in my building a few weeks later. On December 16, 2020 I came back to work after being out for a week with COVID. Zak had been covering for another teacher in the building and of course was wondering where I was. He saw me on Wednesday and made a plan that night to ask me out the next day. On December 17, he came into my classroom after school was over. He used the now infamous line "Do you know where the 5th grade classrooms are?" I of course knew where they were and asked him if I could help him find someone specific. He said he wasn't looking for anyone, he just wanted an excuse to talk to me. That night he asked me out to dinner and we went on our first date the next day. We have been through living in dorm rooms, long distance, a move across the country, and now here we are getting married!
