We’re getting married!

Our proposal started with Vicente and I planning a trip to Las Vegas with his parents. Prior to going, Vicente contacted the Michael Jackson One show and coordinated a surprise proposal with the staff. As we arrive to the show the “paparazzi” began taking photos of me, I felt like a celebrity! There was an area as you enter the show to take photos with a photographer, which is what we did. As we took photos with the photographer they asked me for an individual photo. As I was taking the photos Vicente was behind me on one knee. I then turn around and that’s when he asks me to marry him. After the proposal I look to the right surprised to see my parents. Vicente surprised me by flying out my parents to Las Vegas which they got to be involved in the whole proposal.

The ring Vicente proposed to me with is extremely meaningful to me. This is the ring my father proposed to my mom with. Since I was a little girl I would go into my moms jewelry box and try her ring. I have always told her when I get married I would like for it to be passed down to me. It means the world to me now having this as my ring.

We meet in high school in Spanish class. This was my sophomore year and his senior year. He sat right behind me and we spoke every day until he finally asked me on a date. Then he eventually asked me to be his girlfriend on 05/01/2016. That day on we have been together everyday since.
