Getting to Nags Head

We so appreciate you making the trip to Nags Head—we know it's not the easiest to get to but it's a special place for us (and it's Lauren's hometown!). If you're flying, the closest airport is Norfolk (1 hour 45 min away). Raleigh/Durham is further away (3.5 hours away) but has more flight options. You can also take Amtrak to Rocky Mount (2.5 hours away) or Newport News (2 hours away). If you're interested in coordinating car rentals/carpools with others, let us know and we'll try to help! If you're driving from the Northeast, we recommend taking the Eastern Shore route for less traffic and more scenic views. (We know a thing or two about the drive from New York to NC!)

Travel Note

Staying in Nags Head

Nags Head is a very popular destination for Memorial Day Weekend! Accommodations tend to fill up (and will get pricier as the time gets closer), so we recommend booking as soon as you can. Unfortunately, most hotels in the area don't do blocks, but we've listed a few options below, and there are many AirBnBs and home rentals in the area. Please reach out if you need suggestions!
