Pat O's is famous for their invention of the Hurricane! It's not famous because it tastes great. In the late afternoon it's great fun to hang out in the courtyard or the piano bar where you can request songs and watch the famous "tray man" play his silver platter with his fingertips!
Napoleon House is another one of the oldest bars in the US that's still operating. Try a Pimm's Cup and a Gin Ramos Fizz - they are known for them!
Preservation Hall is just that a place where the musical heritage of New Orleans is preserved by local musicians who perform classic New Orleans tunes in a very small and intimate setting. If you want to check it out make sure to get a reservation!
