The New Orleans airport is about a 20-30 minute ride from the city.
House Or Rental
We highly recommend staying at an AirBnB in our neighborhood, Algiers Point. This historic area is the second oldest neighborhood in New Orleans, after the French Quarter. You will be close to the wedding venue and the post-wedding brunch, as well as a lovely ferry ride from downtown New Orleans. You can't beat the friendly vibe or view from the levee, and it's a cozy, quiet alternative to the busy Quarter.
Hotel
We are not blocking rooms for this event, but this is a great hotel walking distance to the Canal Street ferry terminal on the east bank side of the river. Joe used to work for Loews!
Hotel
We are not blocking rooms for this event, but this is a modern renovation of a historic building with lots of art curated by Lauren and Joe's friends from Where Y'art gallery. Check out the Things to Do page for more info on them. This hotel also features James Beard award-winning Chef Nina Compton's restaurant, Compère Lapin. It is a ten minute walk to the Canal Street ferry terminal on the east bank side of the river.
