Architectural Boat Tour
A Chicago must-do. Our favorite is the one led by the Chicago Architecture Foundation but Wendella is also good. Our absolute favorite guide - Lance Friedmann (our friend Ava's dad) - will be giving a Chicago Architecture Foundation riverboat tour on Friday 8/6 at 12:30pm that you should join if you're in town!
The Bean
Get a quintessential photo at The Bean, and then walk around Millennium Park and Maggie Daley Park.
Wrigley Field
If you have time Friday or Sunday, the Cubs are hosting the White Sox at Wrigley.
Lake Michigan
Walk, jog, or bike along the lakefront trail or spend the day at Oak Street or North Avenue Beach.
Chicago Riverwalk
Just across the river from the hotels, the Riverwalk (also known as Wilson's terrain) is a great place for a stroll or to grab a drink.
Explore Neighborhoods
Stroll around our favorite neighborhoods filled with cute restaurants, shops and parks. Explore the park and Armitage Street in Lincoln Park, Damen Street in Bucktown and Oak Street in Gold Coast.
Museums
Tons of options here (The Shedd Aquarium, The Field Museum, The Adler Planetarium, and The Museum of Science and Industry). Our favorite is the Modern Wing at the Art Institute.
