We met through mutual friends at Purdue University. We were unknowingly the only two single people on a breakfast date with other couples on Valentine's Day. Naturally, we sat next to each other and started talking. The topic of interest? Potatoes, of course. After seeing each other for a few weeks, we became "official" on March 6th.

It was just a normal Wednesday evening. We were slow dancing in our kitchen while cooking a romantic dinner of bean burgers and tater tots. When "Only You" by Mayer Hawthorne started playing, which we had decided was our song, Garrett got down on one knee. I was in complete shock, in so much shock that he actually got up before I had said yes. We announced our engagement to family and friends the next day. Our love story has been a bit of a whirlwind, but we wouldn't have it any other way. We are so excited to share this special moment in our lives with you! See you in Indy!
