It’s a tale as old as time…. A midwestern boy and a southern girl see each other’s pictures on the internet and argue over which Wendy’s frosty flavor is better. Shortly after an “agree to disagree” decision was made, they met for sandwiches. A safe choice for the two. As their two cultures collided in the most peculiar of ways, they realized they couldn’t live without each other. Little did they know, 2020 would present the couple with some modern day tests. 1 week after Francesco moved in - BOOM. National shutdown. But never fear! Lockdown didn’t slow Lauren and Francesco down. Sharing in their love for one another and projects, they thrived. Present day you can find them in their Nashville home with their pups, Reese and Gia, and their pizza oven, Lorenzo.
With Lauren's birthday around the corner and large post-Covid gatherings coming back, it was the perfect opportunity for her to host a big celebration. Little did she know the celebration was for something more permanent. The theme was simple: Olan Mills style portrait/glamour shots party. You know, the tacky mall photos as kids? Anyways, as Lauren went to work obtaining the perfect decor, food, backdrops, and matching costumes….Francesco was planning something of his own. Before the event started, Lauren was prepping last minute touches inside with her friends (having the normal pre-party hosting jitters). Francesco soon calls her outside to see what Maddie, our friends and neighbors’ toddler, brought her. A beautiful bouquet of roses! While Lauren is thanking her for the sweet gift, Maddie exclaims “there’s a ring in one of them!” with impeccable timing. Setting Francesco up perfectly for his big plan - asking Lauren to marry him. Lauren said “YES!” and everyone around the couple cheered. It wasn’t until the rush of emotions subsided when Lauren realized she was in full costume. She got engaged to the love of her life… in a thrift store lavender church pantsuit. She wouldn’t have had it any other way. And as for that epic birthday party she planned? It turned into the perfect engagement party instead.
