In 2016, Andrew and Lauren were invited by their close friends, Sam and Cody, to be in their wedding party. A few months before the wedding, the bridal party gathered in the South Side of Pittsburgh for a night out on the town to break the ice, converse, and drink the South Side dry. Lauren was newly single and just wanted to spend time with Sam and celebrate their upcoming nuptials. Drew on the other hand, was VERY single and wanted to party with the boys and get rowdy. Without his permission, he was assigned by Sam as the “bail out boyfriend” in the event the girls were getting hit on by any drunk Yinzers. As the night went on, Andrew and Lauren kept locking eyes from across the room. A few hours later, they finally met up in the middle of a small dance floor and danced the night away. The rest is history...

In October of 2018, Andrew and Lauren decided to take a trip to Colorado for a long weekend. The weekend was supposed to be filled with hiking, site seeing and fun, but Andrew had bigger plans. For months, an engagement ring had been hiding downstairs in a paint can waiting for this weekend. The trip started miserably for Andrew as he was dragged up and down hiking trails with limited food, water and oxygen. On the third day, Andrew told Lauren they were scheduled to “meet up with cousins at a restaurant”, when in reality, he was taking her to the top of Flagstaff Mountain to propose. As the two stopped to see the overlook, an undercover photographer was capturing the entire moment. After a short walk down the trail Andrew got down on one knee and asked Lauren to be is wife.
