Colin and Lauren originally met back in college when Lauren visited her best friends from high school, Roma and Veronica, at Mount Holyoke. Naturally they all wanted to go out and party, so they went to UMass Amherst and ended up at the Theta Chi house where Colin, and many others in the wedding party, lived. While Lauren always made a yearly appearance at the Theta Chi parties, Lauren and Colin didn't stay in touch and went on living their separate lives. In October 2015, Steven Coffin excitedly told Lauren and Roma, her roommate at the time, that Colin was back from Nebraska and would be coming to their Halloween party. Thanks to Steven, the night of their Halloween party, Lauren and Colin reconnected and hit it off. Make sure to look at the photos page of the website for photos from the Halloween party.

About four years later, in September 2019, Lauren and Colin went on an epic European vacation with a bunch of their friends. One night, on the Italian island of Ponza, homeland of John Migliaccio, after a nice and relaxing day of eating, drinking, and swimming, we went up to the lookout point, Chiaia di Luna (see photos of this beautiful view in the photos section). Colin got down on his knee and asked for Lauren's hand in marriage. All of us were extremely surprised and jumped and cried and ate and drank the night away (and yes, Katie McAteer cried). It was a great surprise and we are so excited to share the next step in our lives, getting married, with all of you!
