We met in December, right before the Christmas holidays. Both lonely and looking for love in all the wrong places. We were both signed in on Plenty of fish. Clay liked my photos, and I instantly got a notification and a message from him. It was love at first message. Lost and confused, I started dating another guy. That last about 2 weeks, when I contacted Clay again. It was like we had never missed a message from each other. We had our first date at Bravos italian bistro in Jackson, MS. Sitting at the bar, next to a wooden burning oven, with the smell of pizza coming from the oven lingering in the air, We sat there, sipped on our wine and told each other about dreams and ambitions. The rest is history. .
After a long drive home from work and multiple messages from Clay asking where I was, I made it home and He was waiting for me when I pulled into the driveway. He met me at the jeep, after a hug and a kiss, he took me by the hand and said "Come with me". Hand in hand, we walk across the road where his property is located. We made small talk about each other's day as we made it to the top of the ridge. That night was beautiful, with the sun going down and a glimpse of the sunset in the background, He turned me around, nervously got down on one knee and asked me, "Will you marry me?" with the most beautiful, unique ring I could ever imagine from New Zealand, I instantly screamed "YES!" Grabbing both of his arms, helping him up, I jump into his arms and gave him a big hug and kiss. I continue to yell "YAY!", "I cant believe this!" "I'm so happy!" the whole walk home. I could not wait to make it across the driveway to tell our parents! It was dark by then, we went inside to take a picture of my beautiful ring to send to our mommas. They, of course, were ecstatic for us and couldn't wait to see the ring in person. The rest is history. .
