Christian and I met at University of Indianapolis in 2015. I began hanging out with him and his friends Thomas, Austin, and PJ going over to their dorm room play Super Smash Bros when given time too. In 2018 he asked me to be his assistant coach for his first club team that he would be head coach of, and I agreed to help him out. Come 2021, we were both invited to our friend John's 25th surprise birthday party. That would have been the first time we have all hung out in a long time due to COVID, and it was there that Christian and I had begun talking. After that we had been texting more and more and mission "Scoop the Koop" had begun. A couple months later we started dating and was asked with a Jiggly puff plushie (which is important to remember for the proposal).
On January 20 of 2023, Christian proposed to me. Now some of you may know that I like to overthink everything. So when Christian was planning to propose, he knew he would have to do something that would catch me off guard and he did just that. I had just gotten home from work that day and Christian had asked me to follow him. We had already planned on going out to dinner with our friend Austin that night so I figured he wanted to ask me what shirt he should wear. But when I went to the room he was standing in the door frame on one knee holding the plushie Jiggly puff that I had given him when I had asked him out and said "will you marry me". If you know Christian, he likes to joke around so initially I figured he was just playing a joke, but I said "well yes of course" and he gave me the plushie. Then he reached behind the door and pulled out a ring and then asked again "no really, will you marry me". I was so shocked it took me a second to realize he was being serious, and then I said yes!
