Get ready for some serious holiday sparkle, folks! The Rockefeller Center Christmas tree is the Beyoncé of the holiday season, attracting camera-toting visitors left and right. It towers above the ice-skating rink (which boasts a golden statue of Prometheus near its apron) and carries on a custom as old as Rockefeller Center itself - this holiday tradition begin in the early 1930s when the Midtown complex was still under construction!
After photos in front of the Rockefeller Center Christmas tree, be sure to pay a visit to one of the most famous toy stores in the entire world! Occupying two-and-a-half stories, the new FAO Schwartz recreates much of the atmosphere that existed at its old location on 5th and 59th Streets; costumed employees, magicians and dancers, and round-the-clock toy demonstrators will all greet you upon your arrival! P.S. Don't forget to visit the famous piano keyboard featured in the 1988 Tom Hanks movie "BIG." The keyboard is located right next to the front window, guaranteeing that you'll have an audience watch you dance!
The Radio City Rockettes at Christmas? Pure holiday magic! Between the immensely talented dancers (and their high kicks!) and the festive show they put on at Radio City Music Hall, you're in for an unforgettable Christmas experience. Plus, they have anywhere from 3-5 performances per day during the holiday season, meaning there's plenty of time to catch a show!
Central Park's Wollman Rink is the perfect place to enjoy an iconic New York experience while ice skating with friends, family, or even on a date! Glide gracefully across the ice while surrounded by the splendor of the Manhattan skyline.
While we might be a bit biased (we're two actors, after all!), there's truly nothing quite like seeing a show on Broadway! Whether you're hoping for a show-stopping musical ("Hamilton," "Wicked"), a thought-provoking play ("Purlie Victorious," "Appropriate"), or a magical feast for the eyes ("The Lion King," "Harry Potter and the Cursed Child"), Broadway is the ultimate theatrical destination! *Please note that the below link will take you to TodayTix, which is a fantastic resource for discounted theatre tickets. However, you can also purchase tickets directly through a particular show's website.
For some of the best possible views of the Manhattan skyline (and close proximity to some amazing restaurants and shops), head to Domino Park in Williamsburg! Domino Park spreads across the waterfront just north of the Williamsburg Bridge, and now sits in the shadow of the recently renovated Domino Sugar Factory. It's the perfect spot to take some photos and enjoy people-watching!
