We met through a blind date set up by Austin's stepmom, Annette, who also happened to be Lauren's co-worker at the Norman Public Library. Annette was set on putting the two of us together and even threatened to not feed Austin until he texted Lauren back to set up a date. Austin finally gave in and texted Lauren to set up a dinner date. On September 15, 2017, we went on four dates in one night, starting with dinner at a Thai restaurant, followed by coffee at Grey Owl, drinks at the Red Brick Bar and ending the evening with seeing a movie. And the rest is history...
Austin officially asked Lauren to be his girlfriend on October, 4th, after several weeks of talking, texting and spending time with one another, exactly two years later we will make another commitment to each other by completing our wedding vows.
Austin proposed to Lauren on August 11, 2018 in front of a mural in Norman, Oklahoma that was painted by one of their favorite artists, Tim Kenney. Lauren was so surprised that the first words out of her mouth were "I hate you" but quickly responded with "Yes!" We are so excited to enter this next chapter of our lives and to spend the occasion with you!
