Queso and Bumble. We met on Bumble due to Adam's terrible profile that displayed a single statement, "Queso over Guac." Despite his lack of effort on his profile, Lauren's love of queso in a city obsessed with the avocado inspired her to swipe right, and a match was made. Our first date was conveniently within walking distance of Adam's downtown loft in Los Angeles at the Redbird restaurant which used to be a nunnery that provided the perfect romantic atmosphere. Our mutual love of food and wine ignited a journey we could never be more grateful for.
On our dream trip to Japan, we had a very special dinner reservation at the 3-star restaurant, Hajime, in Osaka. The ring had been one of the most stressful items for Adam to not only fly with but also to carry for several days before the perfect moment arose. Between course three and course four, Adam took a bathroom break but only to get the ring from the coat check. He got down on one knee next to Lauren and popped the question. Lauren said it was her favorite course, after saying "hai" obviously. (Hai = Yes in Japenese)
