We met through an online dating app. At first, we were on opposite work schedules so the conversation took awhile to get going. Once we found time to talk it quickly progressed to going on a date. We went to Butter Run Saloon and talked for hours while sipping on Moscow mules. A few days later there was a second date... then a third.... and the rest is history!

Kristen happened to be home from Chicago for the weekend and suggested we go get manicures and pedicures. Afterwards, Kristen and Meghan came over to "play with Addison." Madason also just happened to stop by the house that afternoon. Lauren was busy doing things around the house and getting ready for the evening. Lauren, Adam, and Addison were planning to grab some dinner and go see a play. Around 4pm, Lauren sat down on the couch to visit with Kristen, Meghan, and Madason. Addison then called Lauren over to the kitchen table and handed her a handmade card. On the outside of it she had drawn a picture of Lauren and Adam holding hands. She told Lauren NOT to open it. Adam then began to walk toward Lauren. Lauren says she completely blacked out and does not remember anything Adam said. (Good thing he typed out a script!) Eventually, Lauren was told to open the card and inside it said “will you marry me?? And by me we mean us!” Adam got down on one knee and after a small freakout of excitement, Lauren said YES! They all went over to Gilbert's Lodge, where Adam and Lauren's families were awaiting their arrival. They had dinner, cupcakes, and presents! It was an exciting day!
