WELCOME

Although both Lauren and Jordan graduated from the same high school, and served in the same church... they did not really start getting to know each other until the summer of 2022. However, Lauren serves on the Grace Go World Team at Grace Baptist Church, and they had a "Night Around the World" where they represented the country they stayed in contact with. Jordan is the Technical Director at Grace Baptist Church, and is always around to help technically troubled people (Lauren). Right before the event started, Lauren had trouble connecting her bluetooth speaker to her computer, and Jordan came to the rescue. To this day, Jordan attributes this moment to the first time he started praying through the idea of them being in a relationship. (This day was July 28th, 2021) Entering the summer of 2022, they both served at The Wave beach camp with Grace Student Ministry. Lauren went down early with the Media Team to run lyrics and set-up. Jordan was there early as well to set-up everything that goes into pulling off a week like that. During this week, they really started to get to know each other and hearing more of each others stories. After beach camp, Lauren and her best friend Elizabeth were actually house sitting for Jordan's neighbors. Night 1 of their stay, all the power went out in Karns and Jordan, once again came to the rescue when he rang the door bell holding portable chargers and lights because he knew they were staying there that week. Night 2 of housesitting Jordan came over to join them with some friends and that was the night things "clicked" with Lauren and Jordan. To be specific, after this night Jordan called his friend and said "I literally could see myself marrying her." Fast forward to June 30th, 2022 - Jordan took Lauren on their first date in Nashville to a Maverick City concert. Driving there and back in one night, they both were surprised by the ease of conversation and compatibility between them both. July 9th, 2022 after a family movie night at the Hensley's, Jordan asked Lauren to officially be his girlfriend. Through many months of dating, their connection grew stronger and they saw that Lord had truly brought them together in His way and in His timing. March 14th, 2023 Jordan planned a great surprise proposal on a random Tuesday afternoon. They both drove to Cades Cove where Jordan played the guitar and sang a song he wrote for Lauren and then proposed. They are both so excited for October 1st and cannot wait to celebrate with all their closest friends and family!
