THE BACKGROUND: I think we knew each other long before we ever met. I knew Franklin as a silent prayer for a best friend and partner that I could build a life with. He knew me as a hope for a woman who was as beautiful on the inside as she is outside. I am his Earth and he is my Sun. HOW WE MET: A coworker introduced us at work. FIRST DATE: The first actual date was to the movies. I can’t remember what we saw. If you ask Franklin, however, he’d say our first date was to the Oakland Swap Meet. WHO SAID I LOVE YOU FIRST: Franklin! Hands down! (Don’t let him tell you anything differently) 😉 FAVORITE MEMORY: Ask Franklin about the night he made crab bisque and hot links for dinner. (I promise you it’s worth the story).🤣🤣🤣 THE PROPOSAL: On Christmas Eve 2020, Franklin asked for my phone first thing in the morning. I didnt know it, but he was using it to call my parents and ask their blessing to propose to me. He returned my phone woth a small bag and simply said Merry Christmas. Fast forward, I’m packing my clothes to drive to my parents house when I recieved a call from my dad asking about my gift. I wasnt sure what he was talking about, but he stumbled over his words and quickly got off the phone. I was curious now. Just before we hit the road to head to the ‘rents house I stopped to use the restroom. While I was indisposed, Franklin entered the restroom with the gift bag from earlier. He proceeded to open the bag, remove a small box and get down on one knee. Yes, ladies and gentlemen, Franklin Ernest Scott, the LOVE of my life, proposed to me while I was on the toilet. How could I say anything but yes to an intimate proposal like that.💍❤️💍❤️
