Zachary traveled back to Oklahoma from football camp in the night. The next day, Laura and Zach drove halfway to each other to The Hatch for breakfast at 7:30 am. They spent the next 2 hours laughing and falling fast for each other. Walking back to the cars, Zach asked Laura to be his girlfriend. This breakfast spot became a traditional place to celebrate anniversaries. *Fun fact: Zach was in Oklahoma for less than 24 hours to make sure Laura and he went on a first date.

Due to COVID, the original plan to do it in downtown Pittsburgh changed. Laura and Zach decided to continue the tradition of family photos of their sweet boy, Dexter, but Zach had a surprise to make it more memorable. They went to downtown OKC to the Scissortail Park, took some pictures, then went to admire the locks that hang off the bridge. At that moment, Zach asked to take a picture of the silhouette of Laura with the lights to get down on a knee and pull out the ring from his boot. When she turned around, he popped the question! That night was celebrated with family!
