Maid of Honor
Where do I begin with this one?? Bekah and I met in college at the University of South Florida when we both rushed Delta Gamma. We became best friends almost instantly. In fact, our friendship started over microwaveable Mac and Cheese! We have been there for each other through breakups, heartaches, you name it — she is the definition of what a best friend is. Bekah is the kindest person I know and the most patient! (Being an elementary school teacher, those qualities go hand in hand!) She is the best mom to her two beautiful kids, but don’t let that fool you. She loves to have fun and get CRAZY! To know Bek is to love her and I have no doubt you will!
Maid of Honor
Who says you can only have one Maid of Honor?? Rachel and I met at our first job in Sioux Falls, South Dakota, KDLT News. We were both broke, eager journalists and had NO IDEA what we were getting ourselves into! We spent a lot of long, cold winters and a lot of late, fun crazy nights together in South Dakota. Even when we both moved on to different stations in different states, our friendship only grew. Rachel has been by my side through the worst of the worst and never left. She is the friend who will jump in the car or hop on a plane to be there for you, no questions asked. And she has done that for me too many times to count. I was honored to be her Maid of Honor and I can’t wait to have her as mine!
Bridesmaid
If you’re familiar with sorority life, you know Bigs and Littles have a special bond. Kati and I met when she rushed Delta Gamma at the University of South Florida. I instantly knew she had to be my “Little” sister and I had to be her “Big” Sister. I think all the other girls knew it too! Kati and I grew up together in a way. We cried over dumb boys, consulted each other about big life decisions and consoled each other when we could have made better ones! (We still do— minus the stupid boys!) With Kati you never have to worry about dinner reservations or an activity — she has it planned! Everyone needs a Kati in their life and I’m blessed to have her in mine!
Bridesmaid
My sister from another mister!! To her friends, she is Nikki, but to me she is Nicole, Coli, or simply, SISTA! Nicole and I are 9 years apart, but that never bothered us. She is my bulldog, my defender, my big sister. If anyone messes with me, she is the first to step in and she has plenty of times! Nicole is tough, but she loves hard. She is the best mom to my two nephews, Johnny and Ryan. I can’t wait to have my beautiful big sister by my side on my special day!!
Bridesmaid
Michelle is my “not so little” sister. I say that for two reasons. One: she towers over me. Two: she is a lot more responsible than me most of the time. Michelle has the biggest heart. She loves helping others, especially animals, and she is so giving of her time and energy. She puts so much thought into everything she does for others, whether it’s giving a gift or planning a party for them (or a wedding perhaps? *hint hint*) You can also count on her to have the best nail art of the entire bridal party! I couldn’t imagine my special day without my little sister by my side!
Bridesmaid
Ashley is not my real sister, but she probably should have been. Before she was my friend, Ash was my boss at Boardwalk at Morris Bridge Apartments in Tampa. We leased apartments to college kids and threw probably the best pool parties in town. When she moved to San Francisco I was heartbroken — we literally went to the bar in our pajamas and cried. Little did we know that more than a decade later, we would still be the best of friends. We talk on the phone every day, despite not seeing each other for years! I can’t wait to reunite and celebrate this special day with my bestie! P.S. She has some sweet dance moves. You’ve been warned.
Bridesmaid
She goes by a lot of names (Kaitlin, KEB, Barger, Bargs) but there is only one Kaitlin Barger. To me she is Bargs. We met in Little Rock in 2015 when we both worked at the same news station. She literally knows everyone and everyone knows her. Check Facebook because she is probably your mutual friend! So many friends have come and gone since I moved to Little Rock, but Bargs has remained by my side. She loves all animals, some people and at any party you’ll find her laying on the floor with the dog. She is a diehard friend who will tell you the truth even when you don’t want to hear it. I don’t know what I’d do without her.
