Laura Lee Adams
Bride
Laura was born in Corpus Christi, Texas, to Carolyn and Robert. After she graduated from Stephen F. Austin High School in 1983, Laura headed to New York City to pursue college at Columbia University, majoring in English literature. She stayed at Columbia to get her master's degree in organizational psychology, then worked in human resources for many years, at General Electric and Texas Health Resources. In 1998, Laura returned to school to pursue her doctorate in clinical psychology at University of Texas Southwestern Medical Center, in Dallas, Texas. Laura has worked as a psychologist since 2002 for a variety of institutions, including the Department of Veterans Affairs, Johns Hopkins University, and Austin State Hospital. When not working, Laura enjoys spending time with family and friends, hanging out with her animals, bingeing great television, and doing yoga!
Karl William Kibler
Groom
Karl is the son of the late William Thomas Kibler and Juanita Mae (Best) Kibler. He is a 1983 graduate of Colonel Crawford High School in North Robinson, Ohio. Karl earned a B.A. in Anthropology from Miami University in Oxford, Ohio, and a M.A. in Anthropology from the University of Texas at Austin. For the last 35 years, Karl has worked in the Cultural Resource Management industry as an archeologist and geoarcheologist. I know it sounds glamorous and adventuresome, but it's basically "playing in the dirt for adults". He is currently the owner and principal at Cross Timbers Geoarcheological Services in Round Rock, Texas. In his free time he enjoys travel, reading about science and history, hiking, cooking, swimming, and cheering for the Miami Redhawks.
