10am GMT, July 10th, 2019 Voss, Norway Two adventurers reportedly took flight with the express purpose of jumping out of a perfectly good airplane. At 23,000 ft, equipped with professional skydivers attached to their backs (of the Norwegian variety) the two were ejected from the aircraft. For the next 90 seconds the two fell at the expected rate of v = v₀ + g * t = 0 + 9.80665 * 8 = 78.45 m/s. Robert, the taller of the two, landed safely approximately 60 seconds before Laura, the shorter one. Robert took this opportunity to prepare himself for another daring stunt. When Laura (finally) arrived, Robert was ready and waiting with a very shiny gift and an important question. Laura was elated, both at the notion of combining their cat collections as well as the lucrative tax benefits. Promptly thereafter, Laura presented her own shiny gift and they conceded to involve the United States government in their romantic commitments. Robert and Laura decided that this was a most desirable agreement. Now they are to be wed. But one question still remains; Why would anyone jump out of a perfectly good airplane?
