We met at the age of 15 while attending a high school basketball game. We attempted to connect but, only spoke over the telephone a handful of times. Fast forward to over two decades later! The year was 2015, and it was a nice Saturday afternoon. I received a message through Facebook messenger from Garry Smith! Oh my, was I smiling from ear to ear. He promised to take me to lunch which happened to be that following Tuesday, and we have been inseparable ever since.

After a much needed vacation in Las Vegas, I thought winning at the casino was the highlight of my week. It was a Saturday afternoon and Garry said we had a lunch date down the Inner Harbor. We drove to the Inner Harbor and then caught a water taxi to Pier V. I started seeing some of mine and his family members and it still did not dawn on me what was about to go down. I started waving at everyone and they were just smiling at me. It wasn't until I saw my oldest son with his video camera and I turned around and Garry was down on one knee. My answer was "OF COURSE" and boom we were engaged. We are so excited to share this next chapter of our lives with you! See you in Chantilly, VA!
