Stephanie and Nate met when they became resident advisors in the same dorm at University of Michigan. Nate tricked Stephanie into spending time with him by asking her to submit a business idea to a case competition on his behalf. Fast forward a few months later, we started dating. In May 2011, Nate graduated and we embarked on 7+ years of dating long distance - with Nate in Houston and Stephanie in Ann Arbor, Chicago, San Francisco and Evanston before we both moved to San Francisco in August 2018.

During Memorial Day weekend, Nate asked Stephanie if she wanted to go to the beach to watch the sunset that night. In classic SF fashion, it ended up being too foggy to see anything at the beach so sunset plans were scrapped. A few days later, Nate again asked if Stephanie wanted to go see the sunset. Although Stephanie was slightly suspicious, she thought Nate might just really want to see a sunset that week. After riding the bus out to Ocean Beach in San Francisco, Nate proposed. We're so excited to celebrate this next chapter in our lives with you!
