A Monday night after clinical Danielle decided to go down to the local bar to meet her lacrosse friends to watch Monday Night Football. Christian had been working all day and was meeting his friend Lucas (who is a huge Texans fan) to watch the Texans. During half time Danielle's friends went to the bathroom and left her alone at the bar. She had taken a bunch of business cards of doctors at her clinical site to put in her teammates lockers to get them to come out to the Flu Clinic the next day. Christian asked what are those while she was pulling them out of her wallet. They got to chatting about sports and shared a couple of laughs. A couple of "game of thrones" beers later Danielle wrote Christian a flu clinic appointment with her number on it. As the girls were leaving Danielle handed the business card to Christian. A couple days later a date was set up and the rest is history
We planned a trip home to New Jersey to be at my sisters 21st birthday party. Christians parents planned to come down and meet my parents for the weekend as well. My parents had invited our family over to enjoy a back yard BBQ and celebrate Gabby turning 21. It was the hottest day almost 100 degrees with no wind. All the cousins and dogs were enjoying the refreshing pool while the Aunts and Uncles chatted around the table. Once the sun started to set and everyone was finally all out side Christian took a minute to say a couple words. His nice little toast to a wonderful family turned into the most romantic proposal. He turned to me and asked me to marry him in front of our family. Luckily someone video taped it because we both cannot remember what he said. I just remember saying YES!
