We met at the most magical time in any young adult's life, college. Specifically at Eastern Connecticut State University, where Lauren was an RA and Matt worked as an office assistant. But like all good love stories this one has a bit of twist. Lauren was not just any RA, but was in fact Matt's RA! While we kept it professional for the academic year, after Matt graduated he reached out to Lauren through the great communicator, Facebook. After a few pleasantries and flirty texts, the first date was set, dinner and a movie. The food and movie may have been unremarkable, but the chemistry between us unmistakable. When Lauren daringly asked to spend the whole day at Six Flags together for their second date, they both knew that this was going to be a make-it or break-it date. Seven years, one house, and countless other dates later, our love only continued to go. And so, on one of the hottest days of the summer in July, Matt dragged Lauren to Iggy's Doughboys in Narragansett for some summer treats. But little did Lauren know that unlike that third date, there was something more special waiting for her once they got to the wall. With the sun beating down on them, Matt got down one knee and asked Lauren that one question she had been waiting to hear since their very first date. While it may have taken us longer to get here then we ever would have guessed, we are so excited to spend this very special day with our family, friends, and loved ones.
