For that Dolce Vita, James Bond style we are having a formal affair. Wear floor-length gowns or formal cocktail dresses, suits. Wear shoes appropriate for grass, gravel, and that tricky Italian cobblestone. It can get cool at night in Lake Como, so bring a shawl or a sweater in case you need to cover up. Be prepared for the possibility of rain. Refer to the SCHEDULE tab for the dress code for the other official wedding week events.
Feel free to wear whatever color you would like. We just ask that you avoid white.
81° / 65° - Lake Como enjoys a warm Mediterranean climate with pleasant temperatures and sunshine all year. July is peak vacation time to travel to the area with hot and sunny weather perfect for lake activities. Bring plenty of swimsuits! The evenings might cool off...we recommend bringing sweaters or shawls. The summer months are humid and have the possibility of rain. Bring an umbrella or rain jacket just in case.
I'm sure you will find us by the pool or at a lakeside beach club. We will keep a full, fun but relaxing schedule for our time in Lake Como. We will update the website as we know more and communicate any required bookings by our guests. These activities will be at your own expense.
We’d love to know if you can make it (we hope you can). Please RSVP by May 1st using the RSVP card that came in the mail or online via this website on the RSVP tab.
You will be missed! We understand the difficulties of traveling to Italy. If you cannot make it to the wedding, please let us know as soon as possible and RSVP “no,” so we can plan accordingly.
To allow all guests to relax and enjoy themselves, we have chosen to make our special day adults only. We thank you for understanding.
Guest should be in Lake Como by June 29th. We will be there from June 28th - July 2nd.
We recommend booking as soon as possible.

Both taxis and Uber are not as prevalent in the Lake Como area compared to the bigger cities and the U.S. You may be able to call for a taxi or car service if needed. Additionally, the bus and ferry systems are great ways to get around the area for local excursions.
If you are traveling to nearby areas in Italy and Switzerland, we recommend Milan Centrale train station. You can take train trips to Rome (about 3 hours), Venice (about 2.5 hours) as well as Florence, Cinque Terre and many other locations. You can catch a train to Milan Centrale from Como's San Giovanni station.
Yes, you need a passport to travel to Italy. Italy requires that your U.S. passport be valid for at least 6 months after you travel to the country. We recommend getting your passport renewed ASAP...

We are planning on a ceremony at the Villa. Afterwards, we will have the Reception that will include a boat tour of Lake Como and a four course meal. We can't wait to celebrate with each and every one of you.
No, we will take a short stroll to the nearby dock and board a boat for a tour of Lake Como and be dropped off at another Villa for the Reception.
The ceremony will be outside, weather permitting. The cocktail hour and reception dinner will be outside.
Please turn off phones and cameras during the wedding ceremony as our photographer and videographer will capture the moment. After the ceremony and throughout the week, we encourage guests to post pictures on to their social media channels...our only request is that you tag each photo with our wedding hashtag #ComoAwayWithTheCoopers so we can enjoy all of your pictures!
After the ceremony, guests will head in town to board a boat for a tour of Lake Como and will be dropped off at the Villa for the reception where we will be serving a four course meal, drinks and of course... cake!
Oh yes there will! We will have passed appetizers, an open bar, as well as a 4-course meal, Italian wedding cake, and desserts! Our main mission is to make you stuffed!
