We’re Getting Married!!

Ryan and I met 5 years ago in the beautiful city of Birmingham, Alabama. At the time, he worked in a vet clinic and had his mind set on 1 thing….. duck hunting. I was a teacher and coach with one thing on my mind…. make it to state. From the time we met, we were never short on things to talk about and had ALOT in common. Our first date included a 7-mile hike (we didn’t realize it would be that long) through Red Mountain in the heat of June and ended with a plate full of cheese fries and a couple pints of beer (we earned it!!). We quickly bonded over the game of softball and baseball. You see he was a catcher and I was a pitcher…. PERFECT MATCH! We continued to date and quickly fell in love. After 2 years of dating we moved to Mobile, Alabama and our relationship continued to grow stronger. Ryan is a huge support for me in my coaching career and makes every game that he can. Ryan recently became an ATT Service Technician and has quickly excelled at his new skill. Seeing his quick growth is a true testament to the hard working and intelligent man that he is. Through our relationship, dogs have always played a significant role from countless puppies to our 2 babies Luke and Jessie. They are a HUGE part of our lives and they entertain us daily.

Ryan proposed on June 19, 2020, 4 years after our 1st date. What was supposed to be an anniversary trip quickly turned into a celebration of our engagement surrounded by our family and friends. Ryan snuck my twin sister (Hannah) onto a boat where she waited to greet us after he asked the biggest question of our lives. He got down on one knee while we were overlooking the bay in Orange Beach and of course I SAID YES. The proposal followed with a boat ride at sunset as we celebrated with a glass of champagne. As we approached the restaurant for dinner…. I realized that Ryan had gathered our friends and family who were waving and cheering as we came in. It was truly a night to remember and a memory that we will always cherish as a couple.
