We are getting married

We originally met when Luke hanging out with mutual friends one evening. Fast forward three years later: he has an extra ticket to a Keith Urban concert. We had such a blast and ended the night playing music and singing. Although I knew I liked him, it took about six months after the concert of being friends for me to admit I had fallen in love with him. Our first date was at Depalmas Italian restaurant in Tuscaloosa on November 29, 2018 and Luke planned it perfect. After dinner we went to his townhouse complex on the lake and he had a fire set up with two chairs. We ended the night with champagne, smores, and a kiss in the rain. It was the most special someone had ever made me feel. He asked me to be his girlfriend on December 10, 2018 and by December 29, 2018 (lol) I finally told him yes! Since then we have been pretty inseparable (besides our year of long distance.) We have been saying we would marry one another from the get go and we can't wait to officially tie the know with all of our friends and family surrounding us.

June 14, 2020 started as another day in quarantine. For weeks we had tried to let the creek water warm up so we could go for a swim. We decided to go to a family friends creek that Luke had taken me one of the first times we went horseback riding in his hometown. It was way too hot to ride at the time we decided to go, so we walked up the creek with our picnic. After lunch and our attempt to go for a dip Luke, asked me to come here because he had a question. I thought he was about to throw me in the cold creek, so naturally I pushed him down and plopped down on the towels (HAH). Instead, he turns me around and asked me if I would make him the happiest man in the world and marry him (butterflies all over again.) Of course I said yes!! We ended the afternoon with a FaceTime with the family and dinner with his brother. June 14, 2020 will always be a day to remember!
