Britt & Jon met during the first week of their freshman year of high school at Sacred Heart in Waterbury, CT. They spent four years as close friends until they graduated in 2007, when Jon left for Hamilton College and Britt went off to UConn. According to his college friends, Britt was always Jon’s “one that got away,” (or so she thought she did, anyway…).
Thanks to two of their best friends, Jess & Miles, Britt visited Philadelphia quite a bit, where Jon happened to be living after graduating law school at Villanova. Jon would always find his way to wherever they were whenever Britt was in town. On Good Friday, 2019, he finally asked Britt to “go steady.” They spent the first year of their relationship as self-proclaimed, “Amtrak Warriors,” splitting their time between Philly & Connecticut. (Pro tip: If you want to know what truly re-sparked the flame, ask Turner.) Jon moved up to Connecticut to be with Britt for what they thought would be a two week quarantine in March 2020. Nothing brings two people together quite like spending a government-mandated lockdown in an 800 square foot apartment… In January 2021, Jon proposed at the Inn at GrayBarns and on August 6th, 2022, Jon and Britt tied the knot surrounded by their most favorite people at Lord Thompson Manor in “the quiet corner” of Connecticut.
After their wedding and incredible 3-week honeymoon spent enjoying Italy, Jon and Britt began the house hunt. In April 2023, they were lucky enough to find and move into their first and forever home. Later that year, they brought home their "firstborn child," Olive, their beloved Giant Schnauzer puppy. It is with the greatest joy that Jon and Britt are expecting the arrival of their actual firstborn child, Babygirl Ciriello, in Spring 2024.
