Yes, guests will be brought to and from TEIA via boat. Each guest will be assigned a specific boat. Please note that each boat has a specific departure time from the Old Port. Boats will be departing the Old Port from two different docks. Guests will be assigned to a specific boat and location, so please make sure to confirm your assigned boat and departure location. This information will be posted on the wedding website in the weeks leading up to the wedding. Please see the Transportation tab for specific boat assignment and more detailed information.
If you miss your boat to TEIA please call Foggs Water Taxi. They will be able to bring you directly to the TEIA dock. Each water taxi can hold up to 6 people. Please find their contact information below. You can also take a look at the Peaks Island Ferry that leaves from the Old Port. Do note that the ferry dock on Peaks Island is about a 15-20 minute walk to TEIA. Please find Peaks Island Ferry information below. The dress code for the wedding is cocktail attire. Please take into consideration that guest will be taking boats to and from the venue, so the trip home might be a bit chilly. Women might want to bring a light sweater or wrap.
You may wear whatever footwear you would like, but please take into account that you will be on a boat to and from the location and the ceremony will take place on grass. We recommend block heels or wedges for women and loafers for men.
Unfortunately there are no room blocks available. Given how popular Portland is this time of year no hotels offer room blocks. We have provided a list of recommended hotels that can be found on the Travel & Accommodations tab of the website. All hotels listed are within walking distance to all wedding festivities. Please make sure to place hotel reservations early as hotels do tend to fill up this time of year.
While we love your little ones, our ceremony and reception will be kid-free to give the parents a much needed break!
