The Wedding Website of Emily Madeo and Landon He

On our first date, we met at Palma, a charming Italian restaurant in the West Village. By the end of the night, we had spent six hours just getting to know each other, with a pint of banana pudding, lots of laughs, and plenty of rosé. From then on, we spent many weekends making the 1.5hr trip back and forth from Staten Island to Manhattan to see each other. Some of our favorite dates since include apple-picking in the fall, going to shows around the holidays, strolling through zoos and gardens in the spring, and hiking in the summer. Through it all, we adopted a 2mo old kitten (Kashi), moved into a small but homey Manhattan apartment together, bought a new house in Chatham, NJ and documented all this and more in our own little "Adventure Book" inspired by the movie Up.

What's the most memorable trip you've taken together?

The one we got engaged on! We spent 4 wonderful days in San Francisco, before traveling up north along the Pacific to the Point Arena Lighthouse, where we stayed 2 nights. There, we met a resident outdoor cat named Mina, were blown away by incredible views of the lighthouse and shores, and decided we wanted to spend the rest of our lives together. Our other top favorites were Jim Thorpe, PA and Acadia National Park.

What are your shared hobbies

So many things! Hiking, skiing, planning vacations together, and eating Ethiopian food, to name a few. We've also played over 300 hours of Stardew Valley together, building a cute little virtual farm for our chickens and pets to grow up on. At home, we love watching any show by Nathan Fielder, Friends (the show that brought us together), Succession, or anything with Ana de Armas.

We’re on the same page about

Pretty much everything, except when to arrive at the movie theater before a movie. Emily insists on seeing the previews, while Landon tries his best to avoid those Nicole Kidman AMC ads at all costs.

Where are you going for your honeymoon?

Most likely Vienna, Prague, and Italy! If you have any thoughts or suggestions, we'd love to hear them!
