Landon & I met back in 2010. We had a mutual friend that introduced us. Fourteen year-old Ashley had the biggest crush on Landon. Landon was unaware (or oblivious, is the word he likes to use) at the time. After that, we both went on to date other people and live our lives. We would see what each other were up to through social media. The first time we would see each other again was at a mutual friend's wedding in the fall of 2017. I was dating someone at the time so I didn't think too much into seeing Landon again. Little did I know that the Lord was up to something. Flash-forward to the fall semester of 2019. I, (Ashley), was getting ready to graduate from UCO. I had posted a selfie on my Instagram story about working on my practicum project. Landon saw this picture and made the bold move and, as the cool kids say, "slide into my DMs". He struck up conversation about asking me about my plans for after graduation and so on. I was kind of in awe that after all these years, Landon Bumgarner was reaching out to me. I remember thinking that this was very-much a God thing and wanted to savor all that He was doing. After some back and forth conversation through Instagram, ten days later Landon gave me his phone number. The rest is history. Landon and I grabbed coffee on February 29, 2020. We went on our first date on March 9, 2020. Then, the pandemic hit. Our pursuit of one another took place over FaceTime dates that would last till 1 or 2 in the morning. On April 3, Landon asked me to be his girlfriend, 6 days later we said 'I love you', and then on August 15, 2020, Landon asked me to marry him. By the sweetest grace of Jesus, He knitted our story together. Landon's pursuit of me helped heal past heart break. He would say the same for himself. We are so humbled & beyond thrilled that we get to marry each other. We are so grateful that the Lord has chosen us to do kingdom work together. To Him be all the glory.
