A first date neither of us wanted, turned into a dinner we didn't want to end, which became a relationship that neither of us were expecting, and eventually the lifelong partner each of us had always needed. Dinner at Albasha's lead to three hours walking around Barnes & Noble and we've spent almost every day together since.
A little after our one year anniversary, the plan was to propose to her on the spot we met, just outside of the place we had dinner on our first date, across from an ice cream shop. An impromptu date night would be suggested, we would go eat, and get ice cream for dessert (something she could never turn down). The whole thing crumbled to pieces when she insisted on going to another ice cream shop. The proposal took place in an empty parking lot at a location that meant nothing to us. She still said yes, and now we'll always think of that empty parking lot as ours. See you in October!
