Local favorite-- amazing stained glass lamp and window collection inside! Try the chicken salad pita or the teriyaki salad with bleu cheese!
South Bend Farmer's Market
Right around the corner from where Leigha works at IU South Bend. We love to go here on Saturday mornings for fresh produce and baked goods! We recommend buying some local honey and flowers, and having breakfast at the restaurant inside!
South Shore Line
If you're coming in early or staying after the wedding to visit friends/family, you could always take the South Shore line from South Bend International Airport to downtown Chicago or the museum campus (Natural History, Museum of Science and Industry, Shedd Aquarium, Planetarium, etc). We frequently take the train to Chicago for fun date nights or short trips with friends. Oh, and you can't forget the deep-dish pizza!
Jack's Bar & Grill
If you want to get REALLY local, Jack's Bar and Grill is a Lakeville staple (and right around the corner from our reception venue). We recommend grabbing a takeout order of a Jack's burger, bar fries, and beer cheese and toast! Leigha's current favorite is the prime rib sandwich with cheese and mushrooms. You can sometimes find us here with friends on Friday or Saturday night, and it's a Lakeville 21st birthday tradition!
