Mount Tallac
This is one of our favorite hikes! Views are GORGEOUS. This hike is 10 miles (about 6 hours)... if you are looking for a challenge, the views are worth it :) Hiking shoes strongly advised.
Emerald Bay State Park
Another one of our favorite spots. Lots of trails around this area of all different difficulty levels. I recommend downloading the AllTrails App and checking out different options... there are some down by the water and some up in the mountains... both have beautiful views.
Kings Beach
Fun beach town near Northstar; lots of shops, restaurants, kayak/paddleboard rentals, beaches, etc.
Chimney Beach
Flume Trail
Beautiful views of the lake, most often used for mountain biking.

Walking trails, lots of areas to sit by the water with a cooler full of beers!
Zephyr Cove
Nevada beach nearby (popular), and also lots of more private places to sit by the Lake if you pull into Zephyr Cove Resort parking and turn right (trail head all the way at the end of the parking lot).
