A long time ago, in the far away land of South Bend, Indiana, a love story began. Like every fairytale, it starts in a KOA campground and involves lots of awesome BC people… The day Boston College plays Notre Dame in football is one of the best of the year for BC seniors. In 2004, it was an away game—which meant that hundreds of students would cram into rented RV's and make the 1000 mile trek from Boston to South Bend. Steve and Lana traveled overnight with their respective roommates, and were destined to meet that first morning at the KOA. Turns out they had friends in common, Steve hitched a ride to campus on Lana’s RV, and the rest is history. They got to know each other that day walking around campus, prayed together at the grotto, stayed up all night talking, had their first kiss by the campfire—and BC won the game. They’ve loved each other ever since.
Wow—13 years! We feel so lucky to have shared so much. We grew up together exploring this great city of Boston, especially the North End. We chased kangaroos in Australia, and survived the hot desert sun. We played in the Cape Cod sand and waves every summer. We traveled near & far – from adventures in Europe, to national park roadtrips, to hiking and camping our favorite spots in Maine. And last year, we found our beautiful new home in West Roxbury. All along the way, we’ve been so blessed to be surrounded by our family & friends—we’re so happy you’re all part of our story.
