We became instant friends and have been inseparable since then! There are so many stories I can share, but I'll leave that for the wedding night! My name’s Jacob Geisel, proud holder of the title “best man”. John must have lost a bet somewhere along the way to deem me as such. Couple things about me; I somehow tricked the Federal government into paying me to play in the woods for 40 hours a week. I love to play drums, guitar and bass, especially with Johnny boy and my band members out in Pittsburgh. When I’m not doing that I like to take video games way too seriously.

Laken and I have been friends for really as long as I can remember, but once we got into high school, our friendship flourished. Over the years, she has become one of my most supportive and loving friends. Hi, I'm Marshall Kurchak, brother to the groom. Well I've known Johnny my whole life, Even though he is a pain in the neck sometimes but he's my brother and my best friend. I am happy he found his partner in crime. Then there is Laken, she came into my life about two years ago. Laken is an absolutely amazing person. I'm happy to welcome her into the family because she is freaking amazing. Catch you at the wedding, and yes we can share a drink.

We’ve been the best of friends ever since, bonding through our shared love of photography, theater, and coffee shops. I’m beyond thrilled to have this opportunity for John and Laken’s special day and cannot wait to spend it with all of you!!

I’m Kyle Kurchak, groomsman to my cousin John D. Kurchak (See the beard as a sign of being a Kurchak). I’ve had so many great times with this guy, from all the crazy that would happen when I’d come to visit, to getting shit-faced drunk in a beer tent at the Labor Day festival. I had the honor of meeting Laken at a production of Cymbeline down at Stackhouse Park. From that night, I could tell that John and Laken were perfect together. I’ve come to know Laken as a funny, bright, and loving person. I am so happy to have her become a Kurchak. The only thing I will say about myself is that I will be enormously shy most of the time, but once we get to the reception and I’ve had a good amount of alcohol, you better be prepared to see me drunkenly tear up the dance floor. You’ve been warned.

Hello, my name is Jenna. I am so honored to be apart of Johnny and Laken’s big day! Johnny K is my cousin. We have shared a ton of great memories together growing up. If we weren’t at Planet Ice on Friday nights, or causing chaos at Mimi’s, we would be chugging Irish Car Bombs on St. Patty’s Day. I’ve had the pleasure of getting to know Laken over the past couple of years. She is very kind and genuine and has a great singing voice! I can honestly say the bond between Johnny and Laken is something special. They most certainly are relationship goals! “Happiness is marrying your best friend”. I'm Robbie and I met John around 2013. I think? Time isn't real. Since then, I would say he has been a wonderful friend and has always been there for me if I needed to talk to someone. Beneath his Viking beard is a kind Viking heart. Quick things about me, I tend to be sarcastic, which I think gets me in trouble more than it helps. My job title is Scrum Master. Don't worry I don't know what it is either. I'm very laid back and I think that and just making random jokes is why we get along so well.

Laken and I first met over summer 2019 when she was helping with the Student Orientation at UPJ, and I thought she was so professional that I was terrified of her. When I was finally able to get to know her during the fall production though, we instantly became close friends and partners in crime. I’m so excited to have the opportunity to be a part of Laken and John’s special day, and can’t wait to make tons of more memories with them!!

Hey everyone! I'm Matt, Johnny's most favorite cousin. I've known Johnny all my life, growing up together in Brownstown and doing all of the shenanigans kids did. Whether it be from riding our bikes off of ramps, to playing Halo til the wee hours of the morning, to even reading cereal box ingredients in different accents/ A few years ago, he brough Laken into our family, and have gotten to know her so well throughout these past few years! I'm so honored to be apart of their big day!

Hi! My name is Kylee. I live in Johnstown, PA and I have been friends with Laken since middle school,but our friendship really flourished in high school when we bonded over our love for singing and performing! Laken and I have performed numerous times together at places like Flood City Café, our high school “coffee house”, our high school graduation,and placing together at a foreign language competition! Laken and I have remained close friends over the years and I am SO honored to have a part in this very special day for Laken and John. I can’t wait to continue to be a part of their lives as a married couple

Hello, hello! I am the only Canadian in this party, but thankfully not the only Matt. It was somewhere around late 2015 - early 2016 when I was first introduced to John on Xbox Live and it did not take long to become good friends after a few victories (and a lot of losses). To have been invited to take part in such a special day for John and Laken is such an honor, looking forward to having a drink with the both of you and watching you take the next step in your lives.

I first met Laken sharing the stage in the first of many UPJ productions in 2017. I was also the first person to get her into a wedding gown, modeling in the annual Johnstown Bridal Show together (and no that is not "the dress"). Many adventures have been had, and more to come!

Hello, my name is Adam Benner and I live in Austin, TX with my wife Chele, and our two pet rabbits Marley and Rabbit. I am an RN by day and video gamer by night. It was through gaming that I was introduced to John (or Kurch to me). When my father in-law passed away, Kurch drove from Johnstown to Alpena, MI to help me with some repairs while trying to sell the house. This was a very difficult time for my family. This is when I met Laken and I knew they were special together. I will always remember that week with both of you, sharing laughs and Strohs while discussing how it was impossible that the best pizza was located in Alpena MI, but also thankful to have met both of you in my life. I am very excited to be a part of your special day, even in a kilt. Now, let's crack open the Strohs!
