We’re getting married!

After months of trying, Weston finally got Kyra's attention. He had planned a paddle board date for them that Sunday, and the pressure was on! It was all Kyra could talk about at work that week and all Weston could have hoped and dreamed for. The day before their first date finally rolled around and Kyra was starting to get nervous. Her boss, Dana, gave her the worlds best pep talk and then had to basically force her out of the salon. The next day was THE day and both of them had the first date jitters. Weston left work super early to ensure he wouldn't be late. He was so nervous he actually blowdried his hair (even though we all knew he was just gonna put a hat over it). Kyra was so nervous because this was her first time paddle boarding in 6 years. Her mom decided to help by playing "how to paddle board" videos on their TV. (spoiler alert: it didn't help). 6:30 rolled around and so did Weston's truck. Kyra and her mom could hear it pulling through the gate of the neighborhood before he even got to her house. Fun fact: when Weston pulled up to the gate he was way too far away from the box to put in the code that he actually had to get all the way out of the truck to punch it in. Weston had finally arrived! Kyra went outside and he gave her a hug and opened her door and off they went to the lake! They pulled up to Butcher Jones and Weston parked by a big stinky trash can (how romantic). He carried everything for them and off they went into the lake. It was particularly windy that evening and Kyra was struggling to paddle against the wind. Trying to keep her composure she jumped into the water and decided to swim with the board so Weston couldn't see how out of breath she was. After a short trip paddling around Kyra and Weston were tired. He got out and brought her towel back out into the water because the wind was too cold. They sat for awhile on the beach and talked about anything and everything. A little dog named Chester ran up to Weston and laid down on his board. Kyra and Weston decided they were over the lake and that they wanted food. He took her to In n Out and they finished the night by driving around and talking some more. Weston took Kyra home, and a lifetime of amazing memories began!
