Things To Do

In my (entirely unbiased) opinion, panhandle beaches are some of the most stunning, relaxing places you can find. Here are just a few starting points for your vacation - we hope you enjoy visiting the area as much as we've loved living here! - R & K

Panama City Beach

16201 Front Beach Road, Panama City Beach, FL 32413

While our wedding venue is a bit further north, we're guessing many guests will be staying closer to the beach. This section of Florida is aptly named "the emerald coast" for the stunning water alongside white sand beaches. There are plenty of beach access points from the main road - find one that has some parking nearby and head out to the sand. It doesn't get any better than this - bring a towel, some sunscreen, and set up shop for a couple hours of relaxation. It's always 5 o'clock here.

St. Andrews State Park

4607 State Park Lane, Panama City, FL 32408

We took engagement pictures here, and holy smokes, it's something else. It's a shell-y beach with lots of big rocks, tide pools, and a perfect place to watch the sunset. $8ish / car entrance fee. You can also take a shuttle over to Shell Island from here (look online for information / reservations)!

Shell Island

FL 32403

Located between the Bay and Gulf, Shell Island is a 7 mile, undeveloped island perfect for getting away from the busy city. You'll need a shuttle of some variety to get out there, and if dolphin cruises are on your to-do list, they will often come by this island in search of our favorite marine wildlife. All in all, a great day to be had out on the island.
