Noah and Kylie met at a Dordt University sponsored Speed Dating event. They were the first couple to pair up for the night. After a couple weeks, Noah and Kylie started talking between choir and band rehearsals, one of those including a two hour long Dordt walk. That same weekend, Noah took Kylie on their first date. After that, the rest is history!

The proposal happened the weekend of Kylie's 21st birthday. The couple was doing long distance at the time, and Noah came to Wisconsin to see Kylie to take her out for her birthday. Little did she know that he had other plans. They went the restaurant called Courthouse Pub, and then took a sunset walk along the shores of Lake Michigan. After a while of walking, they got to a pier, which led to a lighthouse. As Kylie was looking towards the lighthouse, admiring the sunset, Noah got down on one knee. Kylie turned around, was shocked, and then said yes!
