I moved to Ashton, Idaho, in April of 2017 from Herriman, Utah. Joe moved to Island Park in 2012 from Ventura, California. Joe and I met at Trouthunter, where he was the assistant manager of the fly shop and I was a breakfast server! We became friends quickly, and when he finally got the courage to ask me out! I eagerly responded “Yeah! When?” He took me to a beautiful restaurant in West Yellowstone followed by a scavenger hunt in the Museum of Yellowstone. I couldn’t stop laughing watching him run everywhere like a maniac while I checked things off from the list! We wandered around town and then he took me home. I knew from that day forward my life would be filled with laughter with this incredible man. The first time he took me fishing my inexperience was obvious and yet he remained so calm. He has taught me everything I know about fishing and I’m still learning. We lived together after 2 years of dating. A year after renting from a friend we got a lucky spot to rent together. Pearl came into our family the fall of 2021 and joined with Chief to make our family complete! We have traveled all around the country and have seen some of the world’s most beautiful wonders. There are many more for us to see and there is no one else in the world I would rather do it with.
