It has been nearly fourteen years since our first encounter so we thought a timeline would be most effective. 2009: Meet at Butler Community College, thanks to mutual volleyball and football teammates. We hung out in the same group of friends, but no moves were made (Timing is everything, they say!) 2011: Kylee transfers to K-State and Craig, to Emporia State. We would run into each other a couple of times at social events over the next couple of years, but the most interaction that would ever take place would be secretly ordering a Pizza Shuttle pizza after the bars and eating it in the bathroom so we wouldn't have to share with anyone. Kylee once tried to hit on Craig via text, but story has it that he was dating someone so he politely responds and the conversation dwindles. 2012-2018: … crickets 2018: On March 27th, Kylee notices on Facebook that its Craig’s birthday. Craig’s FB wall posts are blocked so Kylee slides into his Instagram DMs to say happy bday. It was then that we learned that after hopping all over the mid-west/planet for the last few years, we now lived just 30 minutes apart. Next thing Kylee knows, Craig is begging her to grab a drink with him…. The rest is history.
