We met during PE freshman year. Kyle ran up to me with his friend who knew me and said " Hey, You're cute! " He then proceeds to skidaddle away. 3 years later and we were still friends, but I didn't really like him like that (well not to his knowledge lol). We ended up being very close friends and would always hangout in Gelpke's room at lunch with everyone else. He would even share some of his food with me and he would NEVER let anyone have any of his food but....I was the only exception. We always talked because we were in choir together, had the same friend group and he would help me with homework. Since he had a bunch of electives senior year due to his choice of joining the military after we graduated, he walked me to my classes almost every day. And even held my hands on the cold days just to warm me up. lol. When we graduated high school, I went off to SJSU and he went to boot camp shortly after. He sent me letters and when he finally got some "freedom" back when he went to his job training, we caught up on the phone and face timed all the time. He told me all about what happened and what crazy weird people there were, I did the same with telling stories about my first year in college. After many more months, he finally gathered the courage to ask me to be his girlfriend OVER FACETIME!!!!!! He told story after story about the many adventures he had, the places he went to (good and bad), and the friends he made. One friend even invited us to their wedding in South Dakota which in turn also happened to be my first solo trip to see him. Every day he would describe his job and the work he did, and I still never knew what aircraft he worked on. Still to this day I just say he worked on planes. lol He listened to all my stories during college whether it was about the parking garage mess or my time in the VRC. No matter the time difference, whether it be a two hours, eight hours or sixteen hours difference, we would always make sure to talk to each other on the phone or through text. I loved it when he would tell me that he was coming back home. We would jam pack his schedule with whatever we could think of...mostly, what we thought of was.....FOOD ADVENTURES. hahaha. But every visit home was just too short..... So, he came home, and we've gone on countless adventures, trips and many more memories. Even got engaged in NYC on a cold February night after Hamilton. Well, after these nine and a half years of memories, we both can't wait to see what our future will bring. .....still cant believe he made me wait THIS LONG....
