My sorority little Bekkah Rhodes (thank you Bekkah) invited me and Karolina Alvarez out for the night for a Pria (Pre Dia Del Oso party) to enjoy a night out of fun before the end of my junior year. I was hesitant at first because it was traveling about 20 minutes outside of Waco to a house of someone I never met, but she has never steered me wrong. The party turned into a night of great laughs, a few drinks, and many memories. When it was time to leave, our night took a turn. Being so far out of town on one of the busiest nights of the school year, we were without a safe ride home. Luckily, there was this man who was sober and offered to take us back to Waco. I was so grateful not only for a ride, but this man was so cute too. We piled into his truck and I was so excited and hoping he was single. I kept asking him questions and just trying to enjoy every moment in the car with him. As our ride came to an end, we piled out of the car and I stayed behind to try one last time to get him to ask for my number. I kept thanking him for a ride, offering to buy him food or drinks as an IOU. Finally, after the fourth or fifth time, he got the hint and asked for my number. I didn't think he would ever text me but low and behold, about an hour or so later he texted to check up on me. Since that faithful night in April of 2018, we have talked every day, laughed constantly, and loved each other no matter the distance or circumstance I couldn't imagine spending my life with anyone else.
