Things To Do

Look, this list could go on forever. But...here are a few of our favorites.

Marie's Crisis Café

59 Grove Street, New York, NY 10014
, (646) 470-6040

If you want a true West Village experience, try and grab a spot at this piano bar specializing in cheap cocktails and showtunes. And make sure to invite Molly Henningsen along with you; she's a legend there.

Whitney Museum of American Art

99 Gansevoort Street, New York, NY 10014
, (212) 570-3600

Pay what you wish on Friday's from 7-10 pm, this is the only museum in NYC Kyle and I have actually enjoyed (and not just pretended to enjoy because we really don't understand art). Above the elevated Highline park, the Whitney is a great spot to spend a few hours and then grab a cocktail at Bubby's nearby.

Bike Down West Side Highway

West Side Highway, New York, NY

Our favorite bike path. Our recommendation: rent a CitiBike from Riverside Park, then take the path all the way down past the midtown Intrepid, Chelsea Piers, and finish up in the Financial District Marina. For the really brave...crossing over Brooklyn Bridge is only a few miles added!

Downtown Pizza Tour

One thing that got us through the pandemic years was riding our bikes from Harlem to the Village and splitting a pizza on the sidewalk. Our first meal in our shared apartment was champagne and pizza on a bare wood floor. Pizza is life. So, these are some of our favorite spots. Go to one. Go to ‘em all. You will not be disappointed. Scarr’s Pizza 22 Orchard Street, Lower East Side Old school vibe, wood-paneled walls and comfy booths. A favorite of the Best Man too :) Joe’s Pizza 7 Carmine Street, West Village Cash only, take your slice to Washington Square Park a quick walk away Emmett’s Pizza 50 MacDougal Street, West Village Deep dish, best consumed with a bottle of their local wines Emily’s 35 Downing Street, West Village Detroit Style. People go for the burger, but we think the pizza is better.

Broadway. L'DUH!

Easy to find last minute, heavily discounted tickets on TodayTix.com. If you need a suggestion, just text us! We recommend SIX or SHUCKED, starring our very own officiant, Grey Henson ;)

Pickleball Courts Central Park

55th Street and Park Avenue, Central Park, NY

This area has been an ice rink, a roller rink, and now it’s debuting as a pickleball arena. Worth just dropping by to see hundreds of picklers in action.

City College & Hamilton’s House

141st and Broadway, Hamilton Heights, NY

One of Lennox’s favorites. A beautiful old stone college situated above the hill from Alexander Hamilton’s summer home. Tours of the home can be booked in advance.

Secret Burger Joint

Thompson Central Park Hotel, 119 W 56th Street,

Behind the curtain of the hotel lobby, ask concierge and they’ll direct you to one of our favorite burgers in New York.
