Check out this 4.2-mile out-and-back trail near Woodstock, Vermont. Generally considered a moderately challenging route, it takes an average of 1 h 54 min to complete. The Faulkner Trail begins at the trailhead kiosk in Faulkner Park on Mountain Avenue in Woodstock, VT. From the green in Woodstock, head east on US-4 then turn right on Mountain Avenue. Parking is along the road, please be respectful of the neighbors. Follow the paved trails in the park to the back of the mowed area and you'll see the trailhead kiosk.

The Ottauquechee River Trail is a mostly flat easy hike leading you through a beautiful riparian ecosystem. The path follows the riverbank, skirting beautiful fields on a mowed edge, and provides several river view points before returning through lovely wooded areas and fields. Note address above is not exact address to get to the trailhead but is very close. Follow US-4 east out of Woodstock village, then take a left on to Maxham Meadow Way at the "East End Park" sign. Park above East End Park; the trailhead is at the east end of the Park.

Less than 30 minute drive from Woodstock. Check out this 0.5-mile out-and-back trail near Killington, Vermont. Generally considered an easy route, it takes an average of 11 min to complete.
