Tammy and I met by happenstance through mutual friends over 20 years ago. We instantly became inseparable and have remained best friends these many years. Through thick and thin, she has always been by my side and I hers. My wedding day will mark a first in our friendship, she will have to wait for me to get ready, no "Tammy Time" that day. All jokes aside, the day would be incomplete without her taking her place as maid of honor.

Tammy cut stripes for my white belt when I was 7 and cut my pay checks when I was 21. Although I temporarily left TaeKwonDo for a few years, I always told myself that she was the only instructor I would go back to if I ever returned to martial arts. And I did. Following my return, she has become my best friend, boss, and most importantly, my favorite Jedi Master.

Growing up, Candice and I were thick as thieves every summer. Whether it was a family get together, riding our bikes to Edmunson Park to swim at the pool all day, or sneaking out to roam the streets of Osky (only got caught once), we spent every moment together. Every summer was one spent under the stars and full of childhood memories that always bring a smile when thought back on. Candice has grown to be an amazing woman and is the type of person that always puts others before herself whether it is family, friends, or those she looks after through her work. I am honored to have her by my side on such a special day.

From fast cars to music, hunting, and fishing, my brother and I have always had similar interests. Although we now live five hours apart, we've never had trouble picking up right where we left off. I am sure this awesome evening will be no different.

Our paths first crossed during our employment together at Logan's Roadhouse. It was several years later that our friendship became close shortly after Myles Mania was born. We have remained close ever since. Michelle is one of a kind and an amazing friend. Having her stand by my side bears a promise of fun and laughter on an already special day.

As a fellow martial artist, Sean and I have competed in tournaments and tested for rank together since we were young kids. Most recently, we have become closer through teaching together in Alabama and late-night jello shots on Bourbon Street. As the only competitor to ever punch me in the face, he's one of the top fighters and stand-up men I know.
Patti Woodward
Bridesmaid
I first met Patti when we tended bar at one of Pelham's local establishments. We quickly became friends and though time has sometimes kept us at a distance, we somehow always end up back in each other's lives and share a friendship that in many ways defines us both. She has been my rock and cornerstone in many ways, always pulling my irons out of the fire when I need it most. The day would not be whole without her.

My dad and I have shared some of the greatest moments together, from hunting to fishing, martial arts roadtrips, and much more. It is a great honor to have him stand in our wedding. Although I still travel back to Louisiana to visit and eat some of his best BBQ from time to time, it will be great to have him back in Alabama to enjoy an evening with the new family.
